A limited true-crime series that investigates a missing-persons case as it unfolds in real time. Alex co-created, produced, and edited the series in partnership with NYT-bestselling author Neil Strauss and Tenderfoot TV, joining the case of Adea Shabani, a 25-year-old aspiring actress who vanished from her Hollywood apartment, just two weeks after she disappeared. For a year Alex investigated alongside the team in the field as the story developed, then crafted it into a podcast first of its kind that reported the case as it broke.

Within three months of launch, Season 1 surpassed 15 million downloads and held #1 on the Apple charts for four straight weeks. It was named the Associated Press's #1 podcast of 2019, an Apple "Best Listens of 2019" pick, and a 2020 Webby Award winner (People's Voice, Crime & Justice), and was featured in Apple's Bingeable Listens. Season 2 went on to earn a 2022 iHeart Podcast Awards nomination for Best Crime Podcast and a 2023 Signal Award in Limited Series & Specials.
